Management Aptitude Test (MAT)
Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a standardised test being administered since 1988 to facilitate Business Schools (B-Schools) to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programmes. Govt. of India, Ministry of HRD approved MAT as a national level test in 2003. Any B-School - national or international - can consider MAT Score as an admission input based on the Score Cards issued to the candidates. The largest test of its kind in the nation, MAT will continue to be your passport to over 600 B-Schools across India.
MAT eligibility criteria
The MAT exam requires some educational qualification. Here we include the MAT eligibility criteria such as
(1) The candidates must have completed graduation or appearing in the final year.
(2) The candidates must check the percentage need, in each institute the percentage requirement is differ from one another.
(3) The MAT exam is valid for the admission to various B schools.
(4) There is usually a minimum percentage requirement (50% marks in most cases) in graduation or any equivalent degree, but this varies for various Management Institutes or Universities. The Candidates are advised to refer to the Prospectus/ Brochures of the MIs/ Universities for that matter.
MAT Age eligibility
The age limit of the MAT applicants should be 21 years.

Paper Pattern for MAT
The online MAT will consist of following sections, designed to measure a person's general aptitudes and knowledge:
Language Comprehension: This paper will consist of 40 questions and duration for this particular section is 30 minutes.
Mathematical Skills: This paper will consist of 40 questions and duration for this particular section is 40 minutes.
Data Analysis and Sufficiency: This paper will consist of 40 questions and duration for this particular section is 35 minutes.
Intelligence and Critical Reasoning: This paper will consist of 40 questions and duration for this particular section is 30 minutes.
Indian and Global Environment: This paper will consist of 40 questions and duration for this particular section is 15 minutes.
