An arc of a circle is any connected part of the circle's perimeter. In the given diagram \(AB\) is the arc.  

If the angle subtended by the \(arc = \theta\), then the arc length = \(r\theta\) 

or  \(\theta = \frac{{arc\;length}}{{radius}}\)
