Indian Institute of Information Technology, BhopalThe NIMCET exam is usually conducted in May/June every year. The official exam date will be announced by the conducting body, NIT.NIMCET is a computer-based exam consisting of 120 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The sections are:
Mathematics (50 questions) (70 minutes)
Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning (40 questions) (30 minutes)
Computer Awareness (20 questions), General English (10 questions) (20 minutes)
The total duration of the exam is 2 hours.

In NIMCET 2024, an overall score of around 450 was considered good. A score of 475+ was equivalent to a rank in the top 200.The NIMCET syllabus covers the following areas:
Mathematics (Coordinate Geometry, Calculus, Algebra, Probability, Vectors, Statistics and Trigonometry)
Logical Ability and Reasoning
Computer Awareness (Basics of Computers, Number system, Logic Gates, K Map, etc.)
General English (Grammar, Vocabulary, and Reading Comprehension)Indian Nationals securing at least 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale in case of SC/ ST/PwD) in
(i) Any UG program of a minimum of three years with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects OR
(ii) B.E./ B.Tech. from a recognized University/Institution can appear for NIMCET.The preparation time depends on your foundation from school-level studies. On average, a student may require around 5-6 months to complete the syllabus and practice enough questions to gain mastery over the subjects.
